Volunteer Sales Person
We’re looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Volunteer Sales Person to help Selby Pulse Radio grow its relationships with local businesses.
You’ll help us introduce local businesses to sponsorship and advertising opportunities, build new partnerships and explain how supporting the station can help them reach the Selby community.
You’ll be part of the wider Selby Pulse team, with support and guidance provided. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys talking to people, networking and getting involved in the local community.
What you’ll do:
Contact and build relationships with local businesses
Introduce our sponsorship and advertising opportunities
Follow up on enquiries and potential leads
Help develop long-term relationships with sponsors
Represent Selby Pulse Radio professionally and enthusiastically
Feed back ideas and opportunities to the station team
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need previous sales experience — just confidence, enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in. Good communication skills and a friendly approach are more important than a sales background.
This is a voluntary role, so there are no fixed hours. You can contribute around your existing commitments while helping a growing local community radio station make more connections across Selby and the surrounding area.
Community Outreach

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and community minded person to join Selby Pulse Radio as a Community Outreach Volunteer.You’ll help us connect with local people, community groups, charities, schools, organisations and businesses, helping to raise awareness of the station and encourage more people to get involved.The role could include attending local events, building relationships with community organisations, finding potential guests and contributors, promoting station projects and helping us discover the stories and issues that matter to Selby and the surrounding area.No previous radio experience is required. We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, good communication skills and a passion for the local community.
